Optimising the recruitment process in strengthening talent acquisition

Abstract:  In today's highly competitive and dynamic business environment, effective recruitment has emerged as a strategic priority for organizations, particularly in the Information Technology (IT) sector, where talent availability and skill relevance directly impact organizational performance. In this paper, the focus will be on evaluating recruitment processes at Nile Technologies Pvt Ltd, which is a firm dealing with IT services and enterprise consulting. In other words, the aim is to evaluate recruitment procedures at the organisation, understand candidate experience and align activities done during the process to the goal of talent acquisition. The descriptive research method was applied by collecting data from both primary and secondary sources. Primary data was gathered through the administration of the questionnaire on 46 respondents in various departments such as Human Resources, IT, Sales, and Operations. The secondary data was collected from company files, human resource policies, and recruitment-related literature. The quantitative data was analysed by use of percentage analysis and graphical presentation to interpret the views that employees have about the recruitment process at Nile Technologies. From the data collected, it was revealed that while the recruitment process in the company is efficient in meeting immediate hiring needs, there are challenges regarding engagement with candidates, process automation and alignment to long-term planning.
